Grown Up Grilled Cheese from FoodFash // A grilled cheese is the perfect platform for all sorts of goodness. Hearty wheat bread, extra sharp cheddar, caramelized veggies – this wasn’t the kindergarten kind.
Hawaiian Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Tempeh from Clean Eating Veggie Girl // I guess grilled cheese sandwiches are one of those things that you just never grow out of. But that does not mean that we cannot make them a bit more sophisticated from time to time, now does it?
Hummus Grilled Cheese from Bran Appetit // A new spin on a classic dish, this sandwich takes two flavors that go great together – hummus and sharp cheddar cheese – and combines them into a crispy, melty, perfect sandwich. I think any flavor hummus would make a great addition, and changing out the cheese could make for some awesome combinations!
Broccoli Cheddar Grilled Cheese from Heather’s Dish // When I made this super yummy sandwich for the Arkansas Farm Bureau I knew exactly how I was going to do it – but nothing could have prepared me for how supremely delicious it would be. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve made this baby no less than 3 times a week, and don’t see that slowing down anytime soon!
Artichoke Dip Grilled Cheese from Clean Eats, Fast Feets // While I’d love to tout my wicked ways, the dip is a lightened version of a classic, made with a puree of white beans, Greek yogurt and tahini. It’s creamy, cheesy and oh my gawd, The Flavor! It tastes absolutely self-indulgent, rolling all your grilled cheese fantasies into one, and yet, you’re actually ingesting a healthy dose of protein, fiber and veggies, oh my!
Grown Up Grilled Cheese from the Oven from A Journey to Thin // As a child, grilled cheese with tomato soup was one of my favorite meals. As an adult, I still love grilled cheese but I also like to change things up and make a sandwich with a little more pizzazz. Today I will share my recipe for Grown up Grilled cheese with you! This recipe takes grilled cheese to a new level. With three varieties of cheese, turkey bacon, and a hint of honey mustard—this sandwich is sure to satisfy! Made with lighter ingredients, you can still enjoy the comfort food without the guilt.
Mediterranean Grilled Cheese from The Almond Eater // Step up your sandwich game with this Mediterranean Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Tomatoes, feta cheese, onions, kale, and olives combine to form this healthy and filling sandwich.
French Onion Grilled Cheese from Prevention RD // There’s nothing to compliment soup like warm bread, or better yet, something carb-y and cheesy. Add onions, and whoa baby…soup just found its match made in heaven! Sauté down the onions until they’re lightly golden and rich with sweetness that perfectly complements a sharp cheddar cheese. Your every day grilled cheese just got a whoooole lot better, indeed!
Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Grilled Cheese from How Sweet Eats // Oh, no big deal, just some brown butter that we cooked the grilled cheese in. Toasty, brown buttered sourdough bread. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of those simple summer meals that doesn’t require tons of ingredients, but tastes insanely delicious.
Mushroom Melt Lactose-Free Grilled Cheese from Healthy Delicious // What better way to celebrate Grilled Cheese Month than with a gooey grilled cheese stuffed with sautéed mushrooms, mozzarella, and cheddar? These sandwiches are made with GO Veggie, so they’re lactose-free!
Fajita Grilled Cheese Sandwich from Hungry Healthy Happy // Spicy and crunchy vegetables are the star of this this Grilled Cheese Mexican Sandwich. A great way to use leftovers and the perfect vegetable packed comfort food.
Blueberry Basil Grilled Cheese from Lemons + Zest // Nothing against the classic sandwich, but this Blueberry Basil Grilled Cheese will be your new summer sandwich for sure–fresh basil, juicy blueberries and goat cheese with a hint of honey–enough said!
The BEST Vegan Grilled Cheese from Running in a Skirt //To finish off my vegan grilled cheese I added big slices of ripe summer tomato and avocado. I grilled the sandwich with the tomato and then after grilling I opened it back up and added the avocado. The vegetables totally round out this delicious meal.
Red, White, and Blue Grilled Cheese from Ari’s Menu // The brie cheese is so melty and dreamy, and then the goat cheese provides the perfect creaminess. Both of these cheeses pair perfectly with fruit, and the raspberry jam adds a bright sweetness the compliments the slightly tart bursting blueberries. It sounds crazy, but it just works. It works so well that you want to eat it every day for the rest of your life.
Pear and Gouda Gluten Free Grilled Cheese from Gluten Hates Me // I don’t have a panini press, so I just use my George Foreman that I have literally had for…TEN YEARS!! My parents bought it for me my freshman year of college, and I made MANY a late night grilled cheese on that baby!
Grilled Goat Cheese and Pesto Sandwich from Run Eat Snap // I had a grilled cheese with goat cheese for brunch one day and I thought “I can make this!” so I did! Goat cheese has a strong flavor so in addition to the goat cheese, I also used mozzarella to get that really cheesy texture without it being overwhelming.
