In our weekly Friday Feature, we share a 5-question interview with one of the fantastic members of HealthyLivingBlogs.com. Take the time to get to know your co-members, pick up tips and tricks, blogging know-how, and recommendations from your fellow bloggers. If you’re an HLB member and haven’t gotten your interview email yet, don’t worry, you will in time! We’re working our way through a list of 2,000+ members’ blogs at random.
1. What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?
Hiya! My name is Kelly and my blog is Living the Before. The name came to me because I kept thinking how unhappy everyone usually looks in their “before” weight loss photo. It took me years to finally live the title. I’m always working to better my overall wellbeing – it’s not strictly about weight loss for me anymore, and yet the title still fits with how I’m learning to live.
2. What is your tagline and why?
Now. I always want to be sure that I’m living the way I want to live in the moment, so I’m “Living the before, now.”
3. Spread some blog love – which Healthy Living Blog do you read every single post from?
Twitter is typically where I find blog posts that I want to read – Twitter friends share great content that they’ve found and also their own posts, so it’s a great mix.
4. Time for some health talk! What is your healthy eating philosophy?
When I realized that I didn’t need to be apart of the clean plate club, it started to fall into place. I try to remind myself that I will (more than likely) be able to have that food again, so there is no “need”/food guilt to eat it all.
I also think about the amount of fruits and vegetables I have throughout the day and keep those around the house as much as possible. Having pizza for dinner? A salad happens as well.
5. What’s one goal you’re working towards right now?
My big goal right now is do. I need to put the procrastination aside and work on making sure I get as much done in each day as possible – whether it’s brainstorming/writing content, reaching out to new transcription clients, communicating with friends more – I’m working on doing more of what I want to do and not what I think needs to be done.
