Heat it Up with 20 Spicy Recipes from the #BlogHealthy Community

Welcome back to Recipe Wednesday; another avenue to promote your very best content, this time in the form of your most favorite recipes on your blog. Each Wednesday when you visit HLB you’ll find the theme for the newest recipe round up, and this week we’re heating things up with delicious, SPICY recipes from the HLB community!

When it comes to Recipe Wednesdays here at HLB, some weeks our themes read like cookbook chapters, spotlight ingredients or flavors, or simply request the best recipe for a certain situation.

Find an appropriate recipe from your blog archives to fit the theme and add to the collection. Or be inspired to create a new theme-friendly dish worth posting about before next Wednesday.
Each week we feature 20 fantastic recipes from our HLB Members [learn how to become a Member here: HLB Membership How-To] giving even more exposure to some of the best content you’ve shared from your own kitchen. Let’s get to it, shall we?

Check out these 20 Delicious, Spicy Recipes from our HLB Members to make your meal plan extra hot-hot-hot!

Spicy Asian Style Sweet Potato Noodles from Dietitian Debbie Dishes // Spice up your weekly dinner routine with these spicy Asian style sweet potato noodles which whip up in just 30 minutes in one pot!

Spicy Beef Tacos with Broccoli Rabe from Andie Mitchell // These spicy Korean beef tacos are inspired by some of my favorite (and the most delicious) asian fusion food trucks in Seattle, with tender slices of sweet-meets-spicy skirt steak. I love the idea of putting Korean-marinated beef into Mexican-style tacos because it just makes my everyday tacos so much more interesting

Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Paleo Meatballs from Cotter Crunch // Paleo Meatballs with a sweet Sriracha sauce! These sweet and spicy Paleo meatballs are easy to make in under 45 minutes. Simple ingredients, super tasty, and protein packed! Great as an appetizer, meal, or meal prep addition. Freezer friendly ya’ll!

Cajun Kick Spicy Kombucha Margaritas from Cup of Catherine // These spicy kombucha margaritas featuring Big Easy Bucha’s “Cajun Kick” are the ultimate libation. Filled with citrus and subtle spice from cayenne and ginger, they will bring your Cinco de Mayo feast to the next level.

Spicy “Fried” Chicken Sandwiches from Prevention RD // I have a current favorite recipe that we’ve made 3 times now. It’s worthy of being on repeat. These Spicy “Fried” Chicken Sandwiches are guilt-free and big on flavor. This slaw is so simple and yet is what makes these sandwiches over the top delicious.

Chili Lime Roasted Chickpeas from Dianne’s Vegan Kitchen // Homemade Spicy Chili Lime Roasted Chickpeas are a terrific high-protein snack. Crispy chickpeas (0r garbanzo beans) also great on salads, in soups, or in even in tacos and burritos! This recipe is super easy to make, and you either cook your chickpeas in an air fryer or bake them in the oven. They’re vegan and gluten-free.

Spicy Thai Basil Chicken Stir Fry from Food Faith Fitness // This Spicy Thai Basil Chicken Stir Fry is a 20 minute, healthy, gluten free dinner that is paleo friendly,  lower carb and only 300 calories! It will be your new go to weeknight meal!

Sweet and Spicy Paleo Baked Chicken Wings from The Almond Eater // These Paleo Baked Chicken Wings are made with coconut aminos, garlic and a bit of sugar for a sticky sweet and completely delicious wings recipe.

Spicy Shrimp Soup from Iowa Girl Eats // Spicy Shrimp Soup is a copycat recipe from our favorite Ecuadorian restaurant. Spicy, garlicky, and comforting, you will eat bowl after bowl of this easy soup recipe!

Crockpot Spicy Sausage Split Pea Soup from Ari’s Menu // Crockpot spicy sausage split pea soup is a warm, comforting and hearty winter soup. Surprisingly healthy, this is the perfect dish for entertaining out of town family and friends.

“Who Needs Meat” Slow Cooker Chili from Relishments // Since I first posted this recipe in the fall of 2009, it’s been a go-to when I’m looking for a hearty meal that makes lots of servings and cooks itself while we are at work.  Or when Brian wants me to have chili, which is a pretty regular request.  At any rate,  I don’t think I’ve ever really made it the same twice – I regularly change up the vegetables in this recipe – but the basic blueprint remains the same.

Sweet and Spicy Instant Pot Chicken Chili from Healthy Helper // A hearty chili with the perfect combination of spices and fresh ingredients. A little sweet, a little spicy, and packed with healthy ingredients. Easily made in the Instant Pot and a total crowd pleaser.

Spicy Sweet Strawberry Salsa from Tara Rochford Nutrition // Sweet strawberries, zesty jalepenos, and juicy lime combine to make a salsa that is perfect for topping your favorite protein and dipping your favorite dippers!

Spicy Lime Homemade Baked Tortilla Chips from Diary of a (Semi)Health Nut // These super simple homemade baked tortilla chips are a perfect spicy snack to toast up and bring to your next summer shindig. They’re even semi-healthy!

Spicy Sriracha Gazpacho from Amee’s Savory Dish // This Spicy Sriracha Gazpacho will definitely spice up your life!  I’m in love with this fresh, flavorful recipe created by the R.W. Knudsen Family® recipe development team.  My kids said that it takes like eating a bowl of fresh salsa, so they grabbed the tortilla chips to scooped it up.  I love all of the fresh vegetables in this chilled spicy soup.  It has just the right amount of heat for intense flavor, but not too hot.  It’s perfect for lunch, dinner or a delicious starter for your meal!

Chicken Meatballs in Spicy Curry Sauce from My Bizzy Kitchen // I love how the tumeric “colored” these meatballs.  So much flavor is packed into these balls.  If you don’t use white pepper in cooking, give it a try – it has a much milder pepper flavor, while still tasting like pepper, if that makes any sense?

Spicy Yogurt Marinated Chicken from The Lean Green Bean // This Spicy Yogurt Marinated Chicken is so moist and flavorful. Prep it ahead of time and then throw it on a sheet pan in the oven or toss it on the grill for a quick, healthy dinner.

Green Chile Rellenos from All in the Family // Fortunately, we are in the midst of the Hatch Chile festival at Central Market and I have a lot of inspiration!  We served our Rellenos with leftover green chile bean casserole.

GF Vegan Spicy Mexican Cauliflower Rice from The Healthy Family & Home // This plant-based Gluten-Free Vegan Spicy Mexican “Spanish” Cauliflower Rice recipe is an easy, healthy one-pot meal that’s ready in about 15 minutes and is Medical Medium compliant. Enjoy it as a side dish or wrapped in a burrito for a quick and easy meal!

Spicy Green Goddess Sauce for Your Backyard Burger Bar from Savory Spin // This summer, add a tasty and spicy spin to your backyard burger bar with this nutritious and tasty, Spicy Green Goddess Sauce ~ it is delicious slathered on burgers as well as a dipping sauce for fries.
