What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?

Mike Nowak from How Do I Get Ripped.

I founded my blog and LLC to help others with their health, fitness and financial goals leveraging popular, proven workout and nutrition plans that can be completed at home or gym. My Team includes tools and private support groups for your motivation and success accessed via the blog. I selected the domain to reflect my journey from an out-of-shape busy dad with significant travel, 2 kids and a wife to losing 20 pounds, 16% body fat and 7″ off my waist (ripped) while getting paid more income from home than my Ph.D. in Science & Engineering. I retired my Ph.D. career to focus on FAMILY & FITNESS the past 5 years!

What is one lesson you’ve learned about blogging since you first started your website?

Consistency is key when get started to gain credibility online in search results including search engine optimization for blog articles.

What can a new visitor expect to find from your blog?

Articles reviewing health, fitness and financial solutions to accomplish your goals via healthy lifestyle. Healthy mindset and motivation blogs as well as workout video demos, recipes, free eBook, workout hybrids and much more!

Do you ever experience days when you don’t want to make healthy choices? How do you motivate yourself when you really need it?

Yes. I reflect on “why” I am doing this. For me, my kids and family are motivation to live a healthy and active lifestyle while being a positive role model for them. Also, part of my motivation for focusing on myself and family derives from my sister passing at the age of 40 years old, which pushed me to build my business helping others to full-time status approx. 5 years ago so I could stay home with the kids. We never know how much time we have. Be here now.

Let’s talk traveling: what is your favorite place to visit in your favorite city or town for vacationing?

Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. I enjoy visiting the Maya ruins!

If you could live any place for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?

This is a good question. Although many people think I am crazy, I enjoy living in the Midwest United States. I enjoy the “seasons” of Minnesota and local access to lakes to enjoy one of my favorite hobbies, fishing!

Tell us about your favorite SOMETHING.

I recommend the book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. There are even newer versions based on the evolution of technology, but the original book is life-changing. Success is all about relationships and providing value. This book shares the framework and motivated my success building a business helping others succeed in life, enabling my personal goals to spend more time with my family.
