Today is #NationalMustardDay & We’re Celebrating with a Round-Up of Delicious Condiments

RecWednesdaysBadge2Welcome back to Recipe Wednesday; another avenue to promote your very best content, this time in the form of your most favorite recipes on your blog. Each Wednesday when you visit HLB you’ll find the theme for the newest recipe round up.

Some weeks our themes read like cookbook chapters, spotlight ingredients or flavors, or simply request the best recipe for a certain situation. Find an appropriate recipe from your blog archives to fit the theme and add to the link up. Or be inspired to create a new theme-friendly dish worth posting about before next Wednesday.

Each week we feature a handful of our favorite recipes from our HLB Members [learn how to become a Member here: HLB Membership How-To,] giving even more exposure to some of the best you’ve shared from your own kitchen. Let’s get to it, shall we?

Today we are featuring delicious condiment recipes in honor of it being National Mustard Day!  Here are some of our favorite recipes from around the HLB community to add to your kitchens this summer:

Teriyaki Sauce from Healthy Nibbles & Bits // “This simple teriyaki sauce comes together in less than 10 minutes. It is great for stir fries, marinating, or even as a dip!”

Easy Gluten Free Vegan BBQ Sauce from spabettie // “a quick and easy, flavor packed sauce that is oil free, vegan, and mildly sweetened by fruit. a versatile favorite!”

Kickass Ketchup from Melissa Joulwan’s Well Fed // A whopping 25 percent of ketchup is sugar – unless you make it yourself with this recipe. It really couldn’t be easier, and it tastes even better than the bottled stuff on burgers, sweet potato fries, your favorite paleo meatloaf, sauces made with Olive Oil Mayo, and more.”

Blender Barbeque Sauce from Heather’s Dish // “Blender Barbecue Sauce really is the perfect answer to summer’s bounty of grilled goodness. From meat to veggies to pizza, this sauce will make anything shine!”

Homemade Chipotle Ketchup from Food Fash // “I fell in love with my housemade ketchup.  I jarred some up for a friend’s party this weekend and added ketchup to my unpublished list of store-bought things I plan to home-make from now on.”

Honey Chili Sauce from Healthy Nibbles & Bits // “This honey chili sauce is great for dipping or for flavoring your stir fries. It takes only 6 ingredients and 10 minutes to make. You will definitely love it!”

Spicy Peanut Sauce from Dianne’s Vegan Kitchen // “This Spicy Peanut Sauce is perfect for stir-fries, salads, sandwiches, or even as a dip for fresh cut veggies.”

Miso Peanut Sauce from Veggie Chick // “This Miso Peanut Sauce is a great all purpose Asian-style sauce for veggie bowls, tacos, noodles, or even as a dip for dumplings (and much more!). It’s sweet, a little spicy and with the addition of peanut butter, completely addicting.”

Mustard from Scratch from Lefty Spoon // “This mustard is packed with Dijon-style flavor. It’s coarsely ground for lots of texture, since I just love the occasional pop of a spicy, whole mustard seed. A combination of yellow and brown seeds gives it a well-rounded flavor and moderate spice.”

Homemade Chesapeake Mayo from Gluten Hates Me // “I’ve been keeping a small jar of it in the fridge for sandwiches. I would like to say that it will keep for a week but ours never lasts that long!”

Poblano Ranch Sauce from Jeanette’s Healthy Living // “Poblano Ranch Sauce gets a little heat from roasted poblano pepper. Fresh parsley, chives and dill add fresh flavor to this sauce which can be used as a spread, dip or dressing.”

Healthy Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing from Kim’s Cravings // “I’ve been at the mercy of buying Trader Joe’s Parmesan Ranch Dressing for far too long. Trader Joe’s dressing is very good and has decent ingredients, but what if I run out of the stuff? In comes Healthy Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing- creamy and healthier with that lovely classic ranch flavor we’ve all grown to love.”

The Best Honey Mustard Dressing from Heather’s Dish // “this is honey MUSTARD. That means it is mustard-y in flavor. If you prefer something sweeter, either add more honey or use less mustard…whichever you prefer. But know that it will taste like mustard.”

Avocado-Garlic Aioli (and Herbed Chickpea Oven “Fries”) from Ricki Heller // “These fries are ridiculously simple to make (only 3 ingredients!) and are literally foolproof. Paired with the avocado aioli, they’re elevated to the status of a dinner party appetizer.”

Spicy Green Sauce from The Lean Green Bean // “This Spicy Green Sauce is made with roasted tomatillos, avocado and just a few other ingredients. Combine them all in the blender for a simple, flavorful sauce that’s good on everything from chicken to vegetables!”
