Get Your Bread Baking On: 15 Recipes to Try This Spring from the #BlogHealthy Community

RecWednesdaysBadge2Welcome back to Recipe Wednesday; another avenue to promote your very best content, this time in the form of your most favorite recipes on your blog. Each Wednesday when you visit HLB you’ll find the theme for the newest recipe round up.

Some weeks our themes read like cookbook chapters, spotlight ingredients or flavors, or simply request the best recipe for a certain situation. Find an appropriate recipe from your blog archives to fit the theme and add to the link up. Or be inspired to create a new theme-friendly dish worth posting about before next Wednesday.

Each week we feature a handful of our favorite recipes from our HLB Members [learn how to become a Member here: HLB Membership How-To,] giving even more exposure to some of the best you’ve shared from your own kitchen. Let’s get to it, shall we?

Today’s topic is inspired by National French Bread Day, March 21! Here are some of our favorite Bread Baking recipes from around the HLB community we’re inspired to try in our kitchens soon:

Homemade French Bread from Zen and Spice // “Crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside, this is the perfect French bread. All you need to make freshly baked homemade French bread is a bread machine and your oven!”

Vegetarian Stollen from Sinful Nutrition // “I don’t think I’ve ever had nor made Stollen before. Frankly, I didn’t even know how it was pronounced (update: it’s pronounced like stolen), but coming from a girl who proudly admits to loving fruitcake, I was down for any bread studded with dried fruits and nuts.”

Chocolate Raspberry Pancake Break from Cotter Crunch // “Chocolate Raspberry Pancake Bread is a gluten free recipe that’s great for brunch or breakfast. It’s simple to make with wholesome ingredients. An allergy friendly and vegan friendly quick bread recipe with the just the right combo of fruit and chocolate. This pancake bread recipe is freezer friendly too! “

Pecan Butternut Squash Bread from The Almond Eater // “This Butternut Squash Bread is made with whole wheat flour, filled with pecans and topped with a simple sugar glaze. Delicious for breakfast AND dessert!”

Whole Wheat Pumpkin Bread from Chelseas Healthy Kitchen // “The result is a super moist whole wheat pumpkin bread that makes a great snack. Or you could increase the sugar slightly and top it with a maple cream cheese frosting for dessert (<– do it! It’s delicious).

Quinoa Flour Banana Bread from Treble in the Kitchen // “Using quinoa flour instead of traditional wheat flour in this gooey, flavorful quinoa flour banana bread gives your body a boost of complete plant-based protein, magnesium and iron.”

One Bowl Honey Oat Bread from Hungry Hobby // “Gluten-free honey oat bread made with just a few simple ingredients in only one bowl!  No refined flour (oat flour only), butter or dairy!”

Vegan Soda Bread from Dianne’s Vegan Kitchen // “Put the kettle on! Enjoy a cup of afternoon tea with a slice or two of vegan soda bread with a pat of vegan butter and touch of jam.”

Sourdough Bread: A Step-by-Step Guide for Home Bakers from Peanut Butter Runner // A complete step-by-step, how to for DIY’ing your own sourdough bread, perfect for sharing with family and friends!

Gluten-Free Sandwich Bread from Mama Mandy // This is a winner of a sandwich loaf, requiring no bread machine, no kneading and only a quick 20-minute proof.  Give it a try!

Kefir Hazelnut Bread from Food Pleasure and Health // “Kefir Hazelnut Bread is a delicious, super-moist  & indulgent quick bread perfect for an afternoon tea or snacking.”

Sweet Potato and Spelt Flour Pitta Bread from Everyday Cooking with Mira // “A soft’ish cookie, a chewy naan bread or a delicious pitta bread, unlike the dry version we buy from the shop.  It’s really tasty on its own as well as to wipe up curry sauces.  But I thought as a lunch box option it’s quite good.”  This post also features bonus filling suggestions!

Olive Bread from Relishments // Greek flavors power this 2-loaf recipe filled with olives and oregano; so delicious!

Savory Sun Dried Tomato and Yellow Squash Bread from Confessions of a Mother Runner // “I took all of the savory spices I enjoy like oregano, basil, pepper, and rosemary and sprinkled them into this Savory Sun Dried tomato Yellow Squash Bread. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The mild taste allows you to pair it with just about anything. I’ve smeared on a little butter and enjoyed it with my eggs for breakfast and also with an afternoon cup of coffee. I also think this recipe would work really well with muffins.”

Cranberry Brie Focaccia Bread from How Sweet Eats // “My love for THIS exact bread runs deep. First, the flavor combination is awesome. The cranberries are tart, the cheese is melty and creamy, the rosemary is strong and fresh. It looks pretty for the season and if you take it to a party you will be the most popular!
