1. What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?

Alysia Ehle from Slim Sanity.  My husband came up with it back when people were all about ‘Linsanity’ in basketball. It just happened to fit behind the idea of making healthy living more simple!

2. What can a new visitor expect to find from your blog?

There are healthy recipes and nutrition tips, all suited for people who are busy and don’t want to spend a ton of time in the kitchen. Lately, I have been building up the meatless and dairy free categories!

3. What is one lesson you’ve learned about blogging since you first started your website?

Be true to yourself—blog about what you want, when you want. This is much different advice than many bloggers would probably give, considering that Slim Sanity is likely always going to be more of a hobby for me than a sole source of income. I have a full time job that I love, and I could be doing a lot of things differently to try and grow Slim Sanity into a larger blog. But my family and work priorities will come before blogging. Keeping this mindset has helped blogging be my creative outlet, instead of a stress point.

4. Do you ever experience days when you don’t want to make healthy choices? How do you motivate yourself when you really need it?

Fewer than I used to, but probably once a week, and it is usually on the weekends. But I’ve come up with healthy routines that I actually enjoy and don’t feel stressful.

When it comes to workouts, I am totally okay going for a long walk than a super intense workout. And I’ve been working to develop healthier ‘comfort food’ type recipes. To be honest, I’ve developed a healthier relationship with food, which has made making healthy choices that much easier.

5. Let’s talk traveling: what is your favorite place to visit in your favorite city or town for vacationing?

This is a hard one! We visited friends in Portland a couple years ago, and that might have been my favorite place to visit. It is so beautiful out there! We haven’t done much travel for leisure to be honest, so I’m pretty sure that once we eventually do a tour through Scotland or Ireland, that might be my favorite.
