1. What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?

Hi! I’m Caroline, and I created the blog Bloom & Spark. I started it after I had begun a journey of healing from an anxiety disorder. I was learning a lot about health and wellness, and wanted to share what I was learning, and connect with others who were on the same path. Since then the blog has evolved from just being about food and nutrition, to also focusing on yoga, spirituality, mindset, and the wellness lifestyle. The name combines words that I felt represent the topics I focus on. “Bloom” representing not only eating healthy and fresh foods, but also blooming into your best self, and “spark” is about the inspiration and passion that I love helping others create in their own lives.

2. How would you describe your blogging style?

Part informative, part inspiration. I always write as if I were writing to a friend. I much prefer the connection you get from casual writers.

3. What’s one goal you’re working towards right now?

I am working on growing my private coaching business. It’s not something I set out to do in the beginning, but it happened very naturally. As I continued on my journey, others expressed an interest in learning the things that I was applying to my life. So I took on private clients to work on wellness, mindset, spirituality, and goal setting. One of the things that is most important to me as I grow this side of my business, is to always be lead by passion and joy. As soon as I start feeling overwhelmed I stop having fun.

4. What is your healthy eating philosophy?

Balance is key. Listen to your body and try to see what works best. It’s hard to know what diet is best for you when there are so many experts out there saying different things. We are all different, so do what works for you, whether that is vegan, paleo, or anywhere in between.

5. What is something about you that would shock us?

Most people don’t know that on top of being a wellness blogger and coach I am also a full time Speech-Language Pathologist.
