Friday Feature: Be Healthy Now

1. What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?

My name is Petra and I run a blog called ‘Be Healthy Now‘. When I was at university (quite a while back!) I worked on an interactive media project which I named ‘Be Healthy Now and Feel Good’. My blog was born out of this project but I decided to call it ‘Be Healthy Now’ (a shorter version).

2. What daily health to-do is easiest for you to complete? Which is the one you struggle with every single day?

For me the easiest to do is to have my healthy drink in the morning which is made with warm water, freshly squeezed lemon juice, ginger and honey. Sometimes I struggle with exercise but when I feel a little bit de-motivated I always find ways how to get back to it. When it comes to exercise I need a variety so I tend to change my workouts often. Now I started doing a 7-minute morning workout, for example, but I also do daily walks and cycle when I can.

3. What is your healthy eating philosophy?

Avoid meat, as much as you can, always look for alternatives.
Include fruits or veg in every single meal.
Drink enough water, always keep a glass on your desk.
Desserts are not for every day!

4. How would you describe your blogging style?

On my blog you will find different types of articles and for these I use slightly different styles of writing. My personal posts tend to be friendly and casual while my health articles are quite formal and based on science-based evidence.

5. What’s one goal you’re working towards right now?

At the moment I am working towards growing my blog – I am trying to increase my readership and awareness of my articles. I am also working on slight re-design which I hope it will go live in the next few weeks.
