FridayFeatures3In our weekly Friday Feature, we share a 5-question interview with one of the fantastic members of HealthyLivingBlogs.com. Take the time to get to know your co-members, pick up tips and tricks, blogging know-how, and recommendations from your fellow bloggers. If you’re an HLB member and haven’t gotten your interview email yet, don’t worry, you will in time! We’re working our way through a list of 2,000+ members’ blogs at random.

1. What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?

My blog name is Andrea’s Wellness Notes. I started my blog in 2009, when my older son was in high school, and the little one was just a toddler. I was stretched very thin between taking care of my family and being a college instructor. I hardly ever took time for myself, and I knew things had to change. Starting my blog was a way for me to document how “well” I was taking care of myself.

2. What is your tagline and why?

My tagline is “A record of attempting to live my best life.” I chose this tagline because it reminds me to make the most of every day.

3. What’s one goal you’re working towards right now?

I’m always striving to find a “healthy balance.” I’ve learned over the years that if I don’t make time for myself, especially when life gets busy and stressful, things don’t go well.

4. What is your healthy eating philosophy?

I try to eat plenty of healthy foods every day, but I also know that I have to allow for some treats or I’ll “rebel.” I know the more fresh produce I have at home, the better I’ll eat, so I try to make it to the farmers’ market as often as possible.

5. What are some of your favorite blogging tools?

I’m using a Mac and always write my post drafts in MarsEdit. I’ve also found Instant Frames to be an easy and quick app to edit photos for Instagram.
