1. What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?

Breeanna Verna from CrunchandLunch.com. With the idea of having workout and recipes on my site, I brainstormed different names and came up with Crunch and Lunch back in 2012. Unfortunately my site was randomly deleted a few months back so I have been working on getting the content back up.

2. What can a new visitor expect to find from your blog?

You can expect recipes, workouts and nutrition advice on losing weight and living a healthy lifestyle without driving yourself nuts! My blog posts are backed with research, but I also share the information in a relatable and sincere way. Everyone has had those insecure moments where we just don’t feel comfortable in our own skin. As someone who has suffered from body dysmorphia I am now comfortable enough sharing my personal experiences and what has worked for me to overcome these obstacles. You can also expect a quirky sense of humor and odd yet hilarious memes!

3. What is one lesson you’ve learned about blogging since you first started your website?

Don’t be afraid to speak your mind! I used to write out posts and never publish them because I feared someone would dislike my opinion. Honestly, no matter what you say someone is going to disagree– and that’s okay! You have to write from your heart and respect the fact that other people have different opinions and they may want to share too!

4. Do you ever experience days when you don’t want to make healthy choices? How do you motivate yourself when you really need it?

I try to stay away from sugar and grains because when I have them I feel like absolute poop. I keep a note in my phone that reminds me of all the horrible feelings I have after having a bowl of pasta or a few cookies. The note is called “Sugar Feels” and goes from nausea to a dry mouth. When I look at this list, it is motivation enough to say no.

5. If you could live any place for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?

New York gal for life! My goal is to live in Manhattan for a few years and then settle down back on Long Island where I belong.
