In our weekly Friday Feature, we share a 5-question interview with one of the fantastic members of HealthyLivingBlogs.com. Take the time to get to know your co-members, pick up tips and tricks, blogging know-how, and recommendations from your fellow bloggers. If you’re an HLB member and haven’t gotten your interview email yet, don’t worry, you will in time! We’re working our way through a list of 2,000+ members’ blogs at random.
1. What’s your name, blog name, and how did you create your blog title?
I’m Annie and I write and photograph for a blog called An Unrefined Vegan. My switch to veganism almost 2 years ago inspired me to share my plant-based recipes with the (ahem) world. I was looking for a name that neatly summed up my dietary view – guess I’m not too creative!
2. What is your favorite site to visit to find motivation in your healthy living journey? What do you find from this website?
How could I limit myself to one site?? I get inspiration from my fellow vegan bloggers. The community is so creative and so supportive and many of them feel like close friends even though we’ve never met in person.
3.What is your favorite way to get moving, burn calories and energy, and get your exercise-on?
I’m dedicated to my 3 times per week exercise program. Weight training and running. The motivation is that I feel good when I’m done! Having a high-energy dog assures that I also get lots of walking in…
4. If you could live any place for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?
I’ll go for a general description rather than a specific place: where the only sounds are birds, coyotes and the breeze; where it’s dark at night except for the stars and where there’s enough space around me that I can walk outside in my jammies without the neighbors seeing me.
5. Tell us about your favorite SOMETHING. What do you recommend to the community?
Absolutely see the documentary Forks Over Knives. It is life-changing. Lifesaving. When you’re done being angry about how you’ve been duped about what is good for your body and what isn’t – pick up a copy of Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s book, Super Immunity. You will never look at leafy greens the same way again.
