Welcome to the introduction to July’s Healthy Living Tuesdays series,“I LOVE this Community.”
Here’s how you can play along: Write a post on your own blog under this theme before the last day of the month, and when the last Tuesday of July rolls around, we’ll host a link up. Just another great way we want to help promote your greatest content!
Between now & then, we’ll be showing off some of our members own posts on the subject manner – so, be sure to come back and visit each week to get a taste of how others are tackling the topic themselves. It’s a great way to find new bloggers to read and get to know your fellow HLB Members. [If you’re interested in writing for future Healthy Living Tuesday featured posts, drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.]
Well hello there.
My Name is Madison, I am an English teacher first, and a Pilates teacher second (Although I wish time, and money would allow me to reverse that) and I blog over at Pilates Makes You Happy.
I’d like to tell you that all I talk about is Pilates, and how to get a Pilates Booty exactly like Pippa Middleton. However, that is not the case. I mainly document my exercise exploits, (including Pilates and Running) my love for Pita’s full of veggies, and the crazy antics that happen in my life in general.
My name is Madison and I have a confession to make.
I am in the middle of a love affair. It’s an addiction really.
I am in love with Healthy Living Blogs.
I would love to say that my love affair started slowly and grew with time. In reality, it started with a bang, love at “first sight” if you will. Being diagnosed with a dairy-allergy later in life, I have always been on the quest for recipes without butter or milk, – one random day, I decided to google “dairy-free desert recipes” which is when I discovered my first vegan blog. From there my addiction spiralled out of control. (really, it is out of control)
They say that healthy living is a lifestyle choice. And really? What better way to celebrate a lifestyle choice than to start a daily blog about said lifestyle. This community is full of women (and men!) who all struggle with different issues, come from different backgrounds, but yet come together on one common ground – living a healthy lifestyle, whatever that may entail for them. It’s a strange mix of people, some post recipes, some post what they ate that day, some post their workout routines, and some (aka- me) babble on about nothing. We all have different goals, whether it be losing weight, beating disordered eating, training for a marathon, triathlon, or even recovering from an injury. Due to this wide variety of people who all encapsulate a different aspect of healthy living, it is a community of learning from other’s mistakes, emulating their successes and sharing in their triumphs. The Healthy Living blog community touches on every aspect of health and fitness. I am so glad I stumbled upon it.
It is a great mix of people, through which I’ve learned new recipes, and new training plans, that taking a rest day (or two) is okay and how balance and moderation are all part of the mix.
It’s pretty much the longest lasting love affair I’ve had thus far in life.
AND with the Healthy Living Summit coming up next month, July is the BEST time to celebrate this community.
What do you LOVE about this community?
