Friday Feature: It All Changes

Welcome to the first Friday of our Friday Features series! Every Friday we’ll be featuring interviews with all of our HLB members who want to participate. If you’re an HLB member and haven’t gotten your interview email yet, don’t worry, you will! We’re taking it slow simply for ease of management for TeamHLB. ;)

Welcome to Cynthia from It All Changes!

1. What is your name, blog name, and how did you come up with your blog title?

I’m Cynthia and I blog at It All Changes. I’ve had a few blogs before that always fizzled after a few weeks because they were so specific. I picked the name It All Changes figuring I could change it when the “perfect” blog name hit me. Then it kind of stuck because it really is what my life is like…constantly changing.

2. What’s one goal you’re working towards right now (career, personal, health)?

I’m working on getting back on the race course. I tore my calf running a 10K in April and haven’t been able to run since. I’m what you might call an accident prone athlete. Some may have given up by now but I love fitness, specifically running, and want to be at the starting line for my local turkey trot. Heck I’ll be there even if I have to walk the entire thing.

3. What are ten words that apply to you and your healthy living journey?

Life’s roller coaster it’s best when you hit the bumps.

4. How would you describe your blogging style?

Healthy living is full of ups and downs and they don’t always involve food. Some of the most fun healthy things I’ve done clothes shopping with Hunni (my husband) and having a movie marathon when we are both sick. Healthy living is just that…living. That’s what I write about…life!

5. What is something you’ve learned recently that you found interesting?

Recently I learned that instead of getting upset about people not understanding what I’m going though, if I speak up and explain it I don’t feel as alone. There are more people going through similar issues than I could ever imagine and just getting them out there helps you to cope with them.

6. Do you have days when you just don’t feel like eating healthy, cooking, or exercising?

Don’t we all?! If you don’t I want to know who you are and where you live so I can borrow some of your mojo. For me on those days I make smaller decisions that are still healthy but not my full on cook a real meal full of fresh food and getting in a great sweat session. Little decisions are just as important as the huge ones.

7. What is something about you that would shock us?

I’m German born to American parents with my birth certificate on the back of a French map and am fluent in Spanish. Try to figure that one out. Or just ask me to explain. I’d love to talk.
